About me
Thank you for your interest in my practice! Here, you can learn more about me to see if we are a match for your therapeutic needs.
After graduating from the University of Michigan in 2013 (go blue!), I was accepted into Teach for America (TFA) in Detroit and taught first grade for two years. While teaching, I supported students with diverse social and emotional needs, and I developed an interest in understanding best practices for supporting those needs. I knew I wanted to help empower others to reach their full potential not only within the school building, but also within the community. I then earned my doctorate in school psychology at St. John’s University in 2019 and completed my postdoctoral training in neuropsychology.
I am trained in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and am certified in rational emotive behavior therapy (REBT). I also have extensively studied and implemented evidence-based practices to conduct psycho-educational and neuropsychological assessments as well as to provide psychotherapy to children, adolescents, and adults with a range of learning, attentional, social, emotional, and behavioral difficulties. My extensive clinical training and practice has led to my ever-growing competency in the assessment and treatment of anxiety disorders, mood disorders, executive functioning disorders, personality disorders, and other emotional and behavioral concerns.
In my current practice, I integrate evidence-based therapeutic strategies to help clients explore their innermost thoughts, emotions, and patterns in a supportive and nonjudgmental environment. I also support clients in the process of discovering their cognitive and academic strengths and weaknesses. Through these processes, clients can gain greater self-awareness, develop healthier coping mechanisms, cultivate more fulfilling relationships, and success in academic environments. Therapy provides a space for individuals to set goals, work through obstacles, and reach their full potential. With my guidance, you can gain new insights, build resilience, and embrace life with optimism and confidence.
